Article length and fonts
Most of our articles are 600 to 800 words in length. Articles of up to 1000 words or more are also welcome from time to time.
We use Helvetica Neue regular size 12 for the body and Helvetica Neue size 12 bold for your subheadings
Write with our readers in mind.
Our content is considered to be relevant and of great value to our readers. This is why our readers come back time and time again.
Use Bold Subheads
Break your sections using Bolded Subheads. Try to get creative as subheads lure readers to read your content.
Also use numbered lists and bullet points when you can.
Link, Link and Link
Link to as many sources as possible. When you can, include a hot link also known as a hyperlink to any name, company, or quote so that our readers can go and discover more.
Use internal links as well where possible. Wherever possible, try to cross reference at least one prior post residing on leadinglikeachampion.com.
Why? It helps our search engine optimisation and also allows our readers to dig deeper.
Quote people
Expert quotes always add to your work. You can source these from blogs, over email or over the phone.
Pictures
Please include at least one picture or screen shot per article. Avoid clipart. Please send over the images separately with your article so that we can upload it to our server.
Video and Audio
You may use video or audio in a supporting role in your article.
End the article with an engaging question or an action request. To encourage discussion, always conclude your articles with a question, such as “What are your thoughts?”, “What’s your experience?”; or an action such as “Please enter your comments in the box below.”
